What is Bilastine used for:

• This medication is used to improve symptoms of seasonal allergies.
• This medication is used to treat hives.

Important notes before taking Bilastine:

Avoid using this medication if you are allergic to Bilastine or any other components of this drug.

Refrain from using this medication if you have a history of irregular heart rhythms.

Important notes while taking Bilastine:

For proper usage and to prevent medication side effects, inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have any of the following conditions:

• Severe kidney problems
• Heart issues or a family history of heart problems
• Pregnancy or the possibility of becoming pregnant in the future
• Breastfeeding

Evidence shows that Bilastine 20 mg does not affect driving ability. However, you should first test how the medication affects you. If you experience drowsiness after taking Bilastine, refrain from driving or operating machinery that requires focus while using this medication.

Avoid using Bilastine 20 mg in children under 12 years of age.

Before using Bilastine, inform your pharmacist or doctor about any other medications, multivitamins, minerals, or herbal products you are taking.

Take Bilastine with a glass of water.

Consume Bilastine one hour before or two hours after food or fruit juice.

Do not take more Bilastine than the prescribed dosage. If your symptoms are not controlled with the medication, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

What to do if I miss a dose:

As soon as you remember, take the missed dose and then return to your regular schedule. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal schedule. Never take two doses at the same time.

What to do when taken more than the prescribed dose of the medication:

 Immediately contact your doctor or pharmacist, or visit the nearest medical center.

How do I store and/or throw out this drug?

Store the medication at a temperature between 15-30°C.

The expiration date is printed on the box and the blister pack. Avoid using the medication after this date. The expiration date refers to the last day of the mentioned month.

Do not dispose of the medication in the toilet. If you have questions about the best way to discard unused or expired medications, consult your pharmacist.

Keep the medication out of sight and reach of children.
