Introduction of Two Progesterone Drugs by Ati Pharmed at the Royan International Congress

Ati Pharmed Company introduced two of its products, Actogest and Dofamed, during a scientific symposium held at the 25th International Congress on Reproductive Medicine, the 20th Congress on Stem Cell Technology, and the 19th Midwifery Nursing Seminar at Royan Institute.

According to the public relations of Actover Pharmaceutical Group, the 25th edition of the Royan Congress and its three concurrent congresses took place from August 28 to 30, 2024, at Shahid Beheshti University’s International Conference Hall, organized by the Royan Institute of the Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research (ACECR).

 

This international biomedical event featured prominent domestic and international scientists, professors, students, and researchers. Thirty-three international scientists and researchers from countries such as the USA, the UK, Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Turkey, China, Russia, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, Qatar, India, and others gave presentations.

 

During Ati Pharmed’s symposium, which was a side event of the Royan International Festival and Congress, Dr. Ashraf Moini, a professor at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, and a fellowship-trained expert in infertility, delivered a talk on the role of progesterones in ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) and pregnancy. Following that, Dr. Shahrzad Dehnad, medical advisor for Actover Pharmaceutical Group, introduced two women’s hormonal drugs, Actogest and Dofamed.

 

Actogest (400 mg progesterone), produced by Ati Pharmed, is available as a vaginal or rectal suppository and is used not only for premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and postpartum depression but also as part of assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatments to support the luteal phase.

 

Dofamed (10 mg dydrogesterone), also produced by Ati Pharmed in the form of coated oral tablets, is used for treating menstrual disorders, hormone replacement therapy, and progesterone deficiency.

 

Ati Pharmed is the first manufacturer of hormonal drugs in Iran, holding a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification.
